Consider this a holy war—against middle-of-the-road pop.
The 70’s are over, but even hangers-on will probably yawn at this- yes, even those who still get high and listen to “Danny’s Song.” (Ed: We know that was Loggins & Messina, but Christ, there’s a reason it’s just Loggins now).
Can anyone really stand this easy-going crap anymore? Who resuscitated this genre when the disco bubble burst?
The money that the artist-formerly-known-as-Cat-Stevens and Atlantic spent making this recording could’ve been better donated to a youth center for fostering better understanding between cultures.
