Stupid Filter Tricks: OneNewsNow.com - The Christian website has a filter that automatically turns the word “gay” into “homosexual.” This did not fare well when the site reprinted an AP article about Olympics-bound sprinter Tyson Gay: “‘It means a lot to me,’ the 25-year-old Homosexual said. ‘I’m glad my body could do it, because now I know I have it in me.’”

Jesse Helms, Beacon of Conservatism, Dies at 86 - While it’s good that old generation bigots like Helms are dying off, his obit should also remind people what many dyed-in-the-wool Conservatives still represent: “The former senator had a courtly manner and opposed civil rights, gay rights, foreign aid, and modern art.”

Convention costs, delays worry Democrats - Instead of whining, the DNC should put its money where its mouth is. They could easily take this opportunity to send a message to their constituency by moving to do something scaled-down and practical instead of blowing millions on a giant, lavish affair that nobody really gives two shits about.

Poll shows warning signs for Obama - Clinton supporters are saying they’ll probably just boycott the November vote. That’s the way to do it, assholes! If these are the people who supported Hillary, maybe it’s better that they don’t make up the majority of Democrats.

eBay’er Arrested for Attempting to Sell His Vote - This 19-year-old thought he was making a joke. The MN secretary of state’s office thought they’d invoke an 1893 law and charge him with a felony. The sad thing is that everyone who viewed his auction thought that $10 was too expensive.

Senator targets law enforcement after son pleads guilty - Pennsylvania Senator Gibson E. Armstrong is a real piece of work. His son Kristian was driving around looking to threaten people with a loaded gun. When Kris was stopped by an officer, he refused to show ID and then drove away in the middle of questioning. In response, his daddy introduced legislation to take authority away from law enforcement. Sen Armstrong explained: “These deputies have too much power…They can arrest anyone, anywhere, at any time.” Yeeeahh. He also said, “And my son is the handsomest boy in the world, and he’s a perfect angel, and he told me he didn’t do anything wrong, and I believe him.”
