Socialism for the Rich

ExxonMobil, despite always denying that they’re bleeding us dry, has posted yet another record-breaking profit of $14.83 billion, many thanks to the GOP/Bush/McCain-supported subsidy that the company continues to enjoy.

There really isn’t much to say here that isn’t obvious—except that socialism is, of course, wrong. Unless it’s the kind of socialism that takes from the poor and gives $4 billion to the rich for no apparent reason.

Let’s do what John McCain says and keep the oil welfare intact. That way, ExxonMobil can stay lazy and make unfathomable billions on the backs of Americans who can’t afford plumbing licenses or taxes because they need to fill their gas tanks in order to work various under-the-table jobs.

I’m with Exxon CEO Lee Raymond (above): anything that doesn’t encourage tapping America dry before we perfect energy alternatives is not in his best interest.

I’m not with Barack Obama, the negro-probable-Muslim-terrorist-sympathizer, who unsurprisingly disagrees: he wants you to have your money. He dislikes simultaneously having his balls squeezed and being crapped upon by ExxonMobil. What a fucking asshole.

Don’t think for a second that this isn’t a political issue, and that it isn’t just the iceberg’s tip. You can thank the Republicans for sucking away Joe the Plumber’s milkshake money to pay tributes to the rich. Any time a McCain supporter bitches about spreading the wealth while using derisive air quotes to mock Obama, it’s your job to throw a pint of gasoline in his face.

Give the money back, assholes.

I believe Socialism is exactly what Barack Obama is planning on doing, redistributing the wealth. Taxing successful people so that, as he said to “Joe the plumber” others can have a shot at being successful. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Just being a citizen of this country is your shot at success and it is completely up to you what you accomplish from there. Personal responsibility seems to be a radical concept for Democrats. And what about Obama’s ties with DSA? You yourself said any form of Socialism is wrong.

Anyways, love the blog, the Thom Yorke set from 96′ is fantastic.

I love Lee Raymond. This guy really looks like a present-day Elephant Man. When he dies, I expect Michael Jackson to try and buy his corpse…

  4. Everybody loves [Lee] Raymond!

If an aging Jackson needs extra skin, he’ll sure have a sound investment if he buys Lee Raymond.

For the most part yes. People that really need help should be dealt with on a case by case basis or the groups that we offer help to needs to be tightened up greatly. The government throws so much of our money into these pools of takers that want to do nothing but get something for free. People are pissed off about how much profit Exxon Mobile makes, the do not set oil prices and they pay about (if not more) twice their profits in taxes! Why would a company want to keep their basis of operations in this country only to get taxed at a ridiculous rate? They can go to Ireland, get taxed at 11% and pay less for labor.
