Word on the street is that The Avett Brothers‘ new release, I and Love and You, is one of the best albums of 2009. Since it’s not out yet, we certainly don’t know anything about that. We do, however, know that it’s currently available for pre-order it in both regular and super-deluxe, among other editions. In lieu of an official preview, you can download the album’s title track through some sort of AOL podcast, and an alternate version of “Laundry Room” (another IALAY track) is available as part of a four-song set at Daytrotter. To keep your whistle whetted, check out this show from May 2009.

The ‘Brothers have tourdates booked into the next decade; sadly, San Diego is not mentioned, but there’s a big gap between October 31 and January 3 in which voids may be filled (you have a dirty mind) and feelings may be validated. It hasn’t been that long since they last played here, anyway, so hang in there. Tourdates are after the jump.
