While we’re giving sneak peeks at who might appear on our patented Best of ’12 list, we might as well say something about Heartless Bastards too.

The Cincinatti quartet’s new album, Arrow, is its best yet, with basically perfect tracks across the board. From album opener “Marathon,” to “Only For You” (see above), to closer “Down in the Canyon,” Arrow points Heartless Bastards in a most excellent direction.

The above video, released in July, is pretty adorable — with little kids doing grown-up things like falling in love and driving cars. It’s like when that kid in Jerry McGuire said the f-word, only (thankfully) without the presence of Tom Cruise.
