LCD and Arcade Fire; my iPod couldn’t have devised a better 1-2 punch on random. On a brisk night (by southern California standards) in a legendary venue, LCD officially started the party with the addictively repetitive “Yeah” and their sign-off, “New York I Love You.”

Who has time to search for celebrities when the Arcade Fire is preaching straight from the Neon Bible? The explosive ten-piece ensemble jumped seamlessly between random musical instruments, including banging on random motorcycle helmets. During “My Body Is A Cage,” Win perched high up on the pipe organ and belted out the highly explosive tune. Church was officially in session. He mentioned to the energetic crowd that “this was as close to winter as you poor bastards get.” In the closing of “Windowsill”, Win lyrically saluted Cyndi Lauper’s “Money Changes Everything” & LCD’s “All My Friends.” All in all, it was a superb show by two highly energetic bands that never disappoint.

$1 from every ticket sold was donated to Partners In Health, (aids poverty stricken Peru, Siberia, & Haiti) and the bowl was packed.
