Flaggs Reform, Prep New Album

Flaggs

We recently did a photo shoot with San Diego garage rockers Flaggs. In collaboration with Sector9 skateboards, we got together with the band to shoot some Dogtown and Z-Boys-inspired photos in Golden Hill Park.

The band is back from a brief hiatus, having lost founding member Leslie Schultze to another city. Now a quartet, Flaggs is made up of original members Lindsay Matheson (guitar/vocals) and Matthew Charles Franco (drums), as well as new members Philip Kufek (bass) and Dagart Allison (guitar, keys, vocals). Kufek and Allison are known for playing with The New Kinetics and Writer, respectively.

Flaggs is set to release its debut album, GOD HATES FLAGGS, this summer. The group also has a few shows planned, including gigs at The Redwood Bar (Los Angeles) on July 26, The Soda Bar on August 25, and the Adams Ave. Street Fair on September 27.

Check out our photos — as well as a behind-the-scenes video featuring a teaser of new track “Crash & Burn” — below.
