Sometimes group, sometimes one-man band Telekinesis put on a high-energy show at the Casbah on Saturday night. Ringleader Michael Benjamin Lerner was backed by Erik Walters of The Globes on guitar, Eric Elbogen of Say Hi on bass, and Rebecca Cole of Wild Flag on keyboards. Together, the band faithfully recreated songs off Telekinesis’ new album, Dormarion. Sitting behind his kit at center stage, Lerner pulled double duty, making his simultaneous drumming and singing look deceptively easy.
