Baltimore duo Wye Oak has released the video for their song “Holy Holy,” off this year’s excellent LP, Civilian. The video finds singer/guitarist Jenn Wasner and drummer/keyboardist Andy Stack enjoying the thrills of Coney Island, and the haze and vintage effects make it seem like a trip back in time. The dizzying movements of the amusement park perfectly accompany the song, which is like its own deep breath before a multi-story plunge. Hopefully, Wye Oak will return to San Diego soon.
Frightened Rabbit‘s Scott Hutchison recorded this acoustic version of “Scottish Winds” for Invisible Children, a nonprofit that works to end the use of child soldiers in Uganda. In addition to “Scottish Winds,” the nonprofit also recently released a video of Hutchison covering the Death Cab For Cutie song “Different Names for the Same Thing.”
A new song, “Scottish Winds” has been videoed a couple times, but still hasn’t been released in any official capacity.
