Josh Ritter Returns to San Diego

In 2010, Josh Ritter put out one of the year’s flat-out best albums. The lyrical So Runs the World Away was a beautiful collection of songs that showcased Ritter’s uncanny gift for marrying gorgeous compositions with heartbreaking narratives. It made its way onto several year-end lists, including Owl and Bear’s fancy Best of 2010 one, and every bit of the attention was deserved.

The Silent Comedy Join Edward Sharpe, Fruit Bats, Josh Ritter for Dave Matthews Band Caravan

San Diego favorites The Silent Comedy have just told us that they’ve been chosen to play the George, WA stop of the Dave Matthews Band Caravan.

The 3-day festival will be held from September 2-4 at the Gorge Ampitheatre, and boasts an impressive lineup that includes Gogol Bordello, The Roots, Devotchka, Fruit Bats, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band, and the subtabularly dreaming Dave Matthews himself.
